Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. When she moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma enrolled at The Dragon School. Emma had a dream to be a professional actress from the age of aged six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy that offers part-time classes. By the time she turned 10 years old, Emma took part in many Stagecoach productions and plays. In 1999 casting began in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agents through the recommendation of her Oxford teacher. David Heyman told Emma along with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having eight straight auditions. Emma's debut film came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film broke records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and became the top-grossing movie of the year 2001. Critics gave high praise to the film, and especially the young performers. The highly distributed British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. Emma was later awarded five prizes to honor her role in the film.
